Job Description

The primary function for this human resources Generalist is to be a high-performing business partner striving to achieve plant objectives that ultimately serve the Corporation's global customer base. Working logistically independent, yet under the direction of the Sr. Manager, HR Field Services-Americas, the selected candidate will support the Asheboro, NC facility's Human Resources programs and day-to-day HR activities in accordance with legal, divisional and Corporate guidelines. Support and advise local management in all day-to-day HR topics to include Staffing, Talent Management, Succession Planning, Compensation, Employee Engagement, Safety, Talent Development and Employee Relations. Ensure compliance with legal, statutory and company policies and procedures. Lead in building and sustaining positive employee relations through company programs and local interaction. Partner with management to drive effective talent development and growth. Provide input in creation and execution plans to supply strategy. Measure and provide key data analysis to enable effective and timely business decisions. This position may have responsibility for the Human Resources function at multiple locations.

Job Requirements

Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Organizational Psychology (or related field). Advanced degree preferred. SPHR or PHR certification preferred. Five years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong working knowledge of general HR functional areas is required, including performance and talent management, employee relations, regulatory requirements, talent development, compensation and labor relations. Proven organizational and problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining timeliness and administrative excellence. Ability to influence and implement HR initiatives, streamline/enhance processes, and drive projects to completion. Proven competencies in coaching, conflict management, change management and influencing behaviors is required.
