Position Description:

Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for an Electronics and Electrical Systems Software Engineer opening to join our Global Product organization.

 

What You Will Do

  • Create software project plan and management system to include test plan development and execution of project.
  • Model, develop and validate embedded software designs and applications.
  • Select and integrate software modules to build embedded software applications.
  • Design software to drive system optimization, improve module/component design and enhance product reliability.
  • Debug and validate design and functionality in order to meet given requirements.
  • Interact with Electronics and Electrical system integrator leads to review and consolidate application to meet Platform Product Roadmaps.
  • Document software design per Whirlpool documentation process.

 

What You Need to Succeed

  • Engineering Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronic, Electronics, Computer Science
  • A minimum of two years experience needed
  • Experience with industry standard software languages, embedded software development and tools.
  • LED, ASM, I2C, UART, SPI, UML, familiar with Matlab & Simulink, familiar with MBD approach, Static Analysis of the code, MISTRA rules, Safety Critical FW, CMS, SQA concepts, knowledge of TTD approach
  • Knowledge of OPEX, Agile development, A3 methodology
  • Exposure to small embedded systems, especially 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit micro-controllers
  • Project assessment and risk management skills
  • Experience managing projects in stage-gate process
  • Ability to work cross functionally and globally
  • Effective communication and negotiating skills
