Position Description:

Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Motor Control Unit Model Based Design Engineer opening to join our Global Product organization.

 

What You Will Do

  • Creates, verifies and validates new plant and control models.
  •

  • Accountable for creation of libraries, capture and reuse of knowledge.
  • Collaboration across geographic boundaries to leverage global knowledge and delivery of winning solutions.
  • Lead projects in the area Model Based Control Design and Model Based System Engineering, interfacing with our process partners. Long term planning, resource forecast, risk management and prioritization will be part of the expected project leadership role.
  • Accountable for delivering a MBCD solution (plant models / engineering tool set) from beginning to the end - planning / alignment with process partners / modeling development / validation / release plan / training.
  • Generate result through others / team leadership - coach and drive new talents in the organization to expand the results for the team.
  • Planning / Creation and maintenance of Modeling / Simulation Tools Roadmaps as per alignment with our process partners (1 to 2 yrs roadmap).

 

What You Need to Succeed

  • Engineering bachelor's degree, advanced engineering degree preferred (thermal, control systems, mechanics, etc.)
  • Experience with industry standard modeling and simulation tools - Matlab, Simulink, Dymola, Ansys CFD, etc.
  • Experience with programming languages: C/C++, C#, Phyton,Fortran, etc...
  • Desired experience on applying Function Mockup Interface as a method for integrating and sharing plant/control models;
  • Familiarity with OPEX, DVP&R, A3 methodology.
  • Ability to work cross functionally and globally.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in the area of system modeling (plant / controls).
  • / motor control modeling is a plus.
  • of experience on leading / coaching people in the area of plant and controls modeling;
  • Proven experience on leading projects in the area of MBCD / MBSE is required.
  • Ability to work cross functionally and globally and act as a champion in this space.
