Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Sr Programmer - Lean/Continuous Improvement opening to join our Consumer Care organization.
Day to Day
Today, you might be creating VB or Java programs to automate reports, data processing or create a new tool. Tomorrow, you'll participate in a Lean workshop to redesign a business process. And, you might provide critical input on the design of new systems.
What You Will Do
Create programs and apps to automate reports, format data, migrate data from Excel to databases. Create tools across Microsoft and Google software suites. Write queries to extract data from SQL, Oracle and SAP.
What You Need to Succeed
Ability to help business owners understand the potential solutions available to automate work via software tools and provide guidance on how best to achieve efficiency gains.
Broad understanding of systems used in finance, engineering and operations. SAP, Windchill, SQL and Google a plus
Ability to quickly create functionality to fill a gap as well as create more elegant tools/solutions.
A strong understanding of Lean principles and tools.
Ability to write code in a structured manner so others can easily build upon or modify functionality.
Some college/programming education
Experience in creating VB and Java tools from scratch
