We are looking for a talented and motivated financial analyst to join the Commercial Business Finance department, which has been set up to support the commercial organization of Maersk Line. Business Finance is the focal point in Maersk Liner Business for management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, performance management, and finance related business support that ensure decisions are considered from a cost, a strategy, and a commercial angle.

As an analyst in Commercial Business Finance, you will work together with a pool of highly skilled and talented people in an international environment. The key responsibility of the Commercial Business Finance team is to provide financial and business insights that support decision making in the commercial organization – both in centre and in the global organization.

Main deliverables include performance management, reporting and forecasting, and related analyses and sparring. The team currently includes 6 people located in Copenhagen and 7 in India.

The primary objective for the position is to drive key tasks in delivering commercial report standardisation. This involves understanding business needs, ensure requirement specifications with line-of-business, collaborate with IT department on report development, and change management of implementing new reporting. It is crucial to proactively identify the core of the business needs and facilitate effective teamwork across functions to ensure delivery.

Another key objective is continues maintaining high quality in the performance management platform together with MLIT and GSC colleagues to ensure an efficient and value adding decision making process throughout the commercial organization.

As a part of a truly global organization some travel activity should be expected.

 

The ideal candidate has:

  •  Master degree in Finance or Economics (Cand.Merc, Cand.Oecon, Cand.Polit, CFA, or equivalent).
  • 4+ years of work experience from positions within finance, management reporting, financial planning and analysis, performance management, management and/or strategy consultancy, business development, or equivalent.
  • Combination of team player skills with strong communication skills enabling you to engage and influence key stakeholders.
  • Analytic mind-set' and ability to execute analyses in financial and analytical tools.
  • Unique ability to address complex and large amounts of data – and digest them into understandable and presentable overviews to fuel solid informed business decisions.
  • 'Self-starter attitude' and ability to see opportunities and invite yourself to the table.
