Job Description
Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design, or operation of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics, propulsion equipment and maintenance designs. Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowable and performs structural modeling. Specific structural engineering specialties may include stability, stress and fatigue analysis. Tools utilized may include NASTRAN, FEMAP, NX CAE, PATRAN and a variety of software applications.

External Basic Requirements

• Bachelors of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• 5 years of applicable Aerospace experience
• Proficiency in the following areas:

o Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
o Finite Element and classical hand analysis methods
o Basic Drawing Standards
o Time Management Skills
o Ability to operate independently and work as part of a team
o Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

External Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge FEMAP / NASTRAN
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Familiarity with Atlas and Delta product lines
• Ability to lead others in technical assignments
