The Manufacturing Engineer works under the supervisor of the Facilities Engineer Manager and is a highly self-motivated position. Most areas of responsibility are reviewed on a daily and weekly basis. Frequently, goals are set that span up to three months for completion, with weekly and/or monthly milestones. This position will be responsible for directing the Maintenance department employees in day to day operations and ensuring the correct priorities are being addressed while providing support in the repair and maintenance of machines and facilities. 


  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
  • One to two years related experience and/or training


  • Equivalent combination of education and experience


The Manufacturing Engineer should have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. In addition, he or she should have experience with CNC & PLC Troubleshooting. Experience with Fanuc controls/robots is preferred.

  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. 
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Parametric programming
  • Understanding of Relay Logic, PLC’s and CNC


  • Maintain and further develop the Preventive Maintenance Program
  • Follow through and completion of projects
  • Prepare presentations regarding plant projects
  • Develop retrofit packages
  • Provide technical guidance on machine repairs
  • Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies
