Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for robotic process automation and macro farm infrastructure within Maersk. 

The Service Owner employs expertise to deliver cost-effective and fit-for-purpose services. The Service Owner is responsible for externally contracted services which deliver the following outcomes:

  • Oversight of robotic services
  • Continuous improvement activities related to robotics delivery
  • Successful management of robotics incidents 
  • Compliance to IT Service Management processes and procedures.

  • The lifecycle management of the environment in order to ensure business demands (typically effectiveness, cost-efficiency, stability and availability) are met
  • Managing external vendor relationships, ensuring all contractual terms are met 
  • Defining and applying measurable guidelines and standards (including data quality measures) to optimise the use of systems, vendors and processes
  • Leading and developing personnel (as applicable)
  • Budget preparation, maintenance and monitoring 
  • Managing change effectively and without incident
  • Implementing organisation’s IT policies and procedures
  • Driving continuous quality improvement for own and related areas
  • Ensuring reporting and documentation is completed as required by organisation’s standards e.g. compliance reporting
  • Maintaining documentation according to organization’s standards
  • Acting as daily point of contact for the area and providing (directly or indirectly) general support for enquires

Who we are looking for:
  • A minimum of 10 years of IT experience with a minimum of 3 years’ experience managing services
  • Knowledge of robotics architecture a distinct advantage
  • Strong Windows 7/10 client experience
  • Experience managing external service providers and contracts essential
  • Working knowledge of / familiarity with ITIL. Certification to ITIL Foundation level is a minimum.
  • Working knowledge of / familiarity with Project Management principles. 
  • Previous industry experience with large and complex companies beneficial

Experience of some of the following is advantageous
  • Robotics technologies such as Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism or standalone/bespoke solutions
  • Robotics dependencies and challenges eg implementation, database dependencies
  • A degree of technical knowledge of associated/relevant architectures eg shared host multi user environments
  • Sound business acumen
  • Effective leadership and management of IT staff
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Collaboration skills
  • Ability to multi-task at a high level
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Ability to switch between strategy and detail
  • Stakeholder management 
  • Vendor management
