Purpose:
Maersk are moving intoa digital future, and you can be part of this.  The main focus of this role will be to drive maintenance and support of a suite of related applications to support major business function/s (e.g. Commercial), and to be accountable for leading a delivery team - managing the overall service plan, scope, cost, work schedule and contractual deliverables.

Responsibilties
? Accountable for availability and stability of the applications in their delivery Portfolio, making sure that resources are properly used and initiating corrective action when necessary
? Deciding the contents of initiatives together with the Senior IT Manager heading Application Management Services (AMS),Application Managers and Project Managers
? Managing relationships with vendors making sure all contractual terms are met and manages associated costs
? Making sure the head of AMS is aware of any vendor issues 
? Making sure correct application of and adherence to organisation’s support methodologies and metrics to all activities
? Responsible for own budget and support to the head of AMS with preparation and review of budgets for area of responsibility
? Working with the Head of AMS, Application Managers and Project Managers to make sure all applications are properly supported
? Defining and applying measurable guidelines and standards including data quality measures that can all be used for optimising the use of systems, vendors and processes.
? Accountable for directing and motivating the application teams to deliver on overall goals and strategies

Required Experience
? Solid experience in managing application management teams, typically 6+ years
? Previous roles might include Application Manager
? ITEL Certification
? Application Maintenance
? Application Portfolio Management
? Project Execution
? Project Management
? Quality Management
? Requirements Management
? Risk/return analysis

Business Skills
? Solid understanding of how IT works
? Ability to lead and work with teams
? Strong leadership skills with demonstrable ability to achieve results in a fast-moving environment
? Ability to evaluate risks and make decisions accordingly
? Good critical reasoning and problem solving skills
? Ability to effectively communicate to all layers within the organisation
? Culturally sensitive and able to quickly analyze and assess a situation and provide robust recommendations and solutions
? Conscientious attitude with ability to multitask
