Position Description

The IT Business Analyst will participate in division, sector, and site initiatives and projects; and facilitate the relationship between IT and supported sites.

Conduct requirements gathering; and document business requirement in a clear, complete, and concise manner.   Ensure that business requirements are aligned to business goals and priorities
Provide IT support for user acceptance and business process testing to ensure that requirements are met.
Proactively identify improvement opportunities, and work with business customers to anticipate future needs involving changes to IT systems.
Fill the role of business analyst on projects and initiatives by conducting analysis, planning, and execution activities around technology and process changes Identify, diagnose, and direct resolution on a wide range of IT issues, and when necessary act as a point of escalation.

Position Requirements 


Good business process knowledge
Proficient at creating business and technical documentation
Attention to detail and the ability to probe underlying business needs
Must possess analytical, research, and qualitative abilities
Must be a critical thinker who can also execute on the details
Strong interpersonal skills are essential given that the position will have significant interaction with various functional areas and all levels of associates
Strong English skills both written and oral
Ability to work independently in a cross-functional project management environment as well as in a team environment Ability to meet deadlines on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously
Ability to be flexible and manage change Ability to work in complex situations with varying degrees of ambiguity Ability to constructively adapt to rapidly changing priorities
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics or related discipline.
2-5 Years Business analysis experience
Functional knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain processes in an SAP environment.
Knowledge of business analysis and requirements gathering methods and tools
Desire a combination of operational and IT experience Some knowledge or experience with telecom systems, network, (and/or servers preferred (Windows, LAN, VM Ware). 

Preferences

Experience with PDM/PLM, and/or BI systems a plus.
Lean, APICS or 6Sigma certification or training are a plus
