Department Description             

Motorola Solutions Inc. (MSI) is leading provider of Mission Critical Communications Solutions for Public Safety and Government Users as well as key enabler for Commercial Communication products, making sure our Customers have the information they need at hand in the Moments that Matter. Be a part of the Dynamic Team that manages and oversees the CyberSecurity program for Product Development throughout Motorola Solutions.As a team member, you’ll be called upon to help us find new, innovative ways to ensure Secure delivery and Operation of Motorola Solutions product in the operations of our Customers. Working with Development Teams, Management, Service, and Field Teams you’ll be exposed to both Cloudbased and OnPremise architectures and many different Risk Environments. You’ll have a direct hand in developing, overseeing the implementation, reviewing, and driving System Security Plans, Vulnerability and Risk Assessments, Plan of Actions and Milestones to achieve remediation, Security Assessment Reports, and Contingency Plans to satisfy Assessment and Authorization (A&A) requirements in accordance with DoDI 8510.01, Center for Security (CIS) Requirements, NIST 80053, and other US and Foreign Government guidelines as required.The ultimate goal of the organization is to define CyberSecurity solutions that protect our Customers, their Data and Operations, provide impactful differentiation, and ensure the solutions can be leveraged across MSI’s portfolio.

Job Description               

The ideal Information Assurance Analyst must possess a broad skill set with respect to both Vulnerability Detection and Management, operating and virtualization technologies administration, software tool development, demonstrated communication and presentation skills, analytical thinking and a desire for learning that will support sustainable career growth.

The Information Assurance Analyst will lead vulnerability detection and management across MSI’s solutions and products.

Demonstrated successful experience with DoD information system Certification and Accreditation (C&A) efforts or other Certification standards and/or benchmarks (PCI DSS, HIPAA, etc) a plus.

Ability to prioritize based on technical risk impact and compliance is a key requirement of the role.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Drive Vulnerability detection and management with the MSI product development teams.
  • Work with internal product development team to identify products to be vulnerability managed.
  • Research discovered issues for True Technical Risk impacts and create validated Scan Summaries with recommendations for remediation.
  • Work with product development and validation teams to remediate discovered issues.
  • Work with Third Party Vendors partnering with MSI to monitor and remediate vulnerability issues.
  • Assess and track Vulnerability Risks and their remediation by working with MSI product development teamsSeek, recommend, and propose solutions to avoid Vulnerability risks proactively.
  • Maintain/Administer the Department’s VMWare ESXi, Linux, and Windows ServersMaintain/Administer Department Software Tools (SecurityCenter and In-House Custom Tools)Patch/update SecurityCenter and Nessus ScannersAdd/rebuild SecurityCenter and Probes as neededDevelop and maintain Scan Policies for multiple Security StandardsDevelop End-User training/documentation for vulnerability, scanning, and other security toolsDevelop, Deploy, and Maintain department’s Penetration Testing capabilitiesMaintain/Administer tools such as metasploit and Nikto2Perform Manual PenTest assessments and fuzzing as directed.
