Job Description:

Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Cross Functional Quality Lead opening to join our North American Quality organization.

The Cross Functional Quality Lead serves as the focal point of mega project total product quality and as a liaison between design, manufacturing, procurement, product development, service and cross functionally drives total product quality. This position drives a clear understanding of existing issues, designs and process that clearly address these issues. Identifies top quality opportunities, organizes and leads pro-active quality action teams to address issues. Also insures testing for components, module set and product. Also enforcing existing processes are planned for and executed in design, manufacturing and supply.

 

What You Will Do

  • Quality Cross Functional Lead will initiate the analysis process assign ownership and accountability for each of the functional leads.
  • Lead the mega project teams in the use of proven data mining process, best of the best and should quality model to identify opportunities, set reliability, performance, craftsmanship and SIR targets using standard templates to report progress. Set breakthrough targets where needed.
  • Provide escalation path to quickly resolve issues and break down barriers
  • Serve as the quality expert on the project driving end to end quality from voice of the customer and inputs into defining a winning product to post launch.
  • Evaluate design tradeoffs and provide Customer Quality and total cost of quality value analysis
  • Reach across product groups to pull in skill sets and knowledge experts when needed
  • Identification of Proactive Quality Action Teams, facilitation, oversight reporting and results
  • Drive the FRACAS failure review boards identification and resolution of issues discovered in testing
  • Develop and oversee the post launch QI cadence plans and early warning systems through production or until all quality commitments are achieved.
  • Identify and make continuous improvements to Mega Quality Process as we identify new opportunities, techniques and tools to deliver breakthrough customer quality at launch.

 

Qualifications

What You Need to Succeed

  • Five years or more of technical/engineering/product experience on laundry products
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering Strongly Preferred)
  • OpEx training preferred
  • Thorough product knowledge
  • Thorough knowledge of quality systems
  • Thorough knowledge of product development tools and process
  • Comfortable working in all areas: mechanical, electrical, manufacturing…
  • Leadership to drive the team and deliver higher levels of quality
  • Ability to balance product / product cost, schedule and quality balance
  • Make sure the quality / customer impact is considered in every decision
  • Active participant in identifying issues and problem solving
  • Builds relationships, team work, breaks down barriers
  • Coach mentor change quality culture
  • Appropriately challenge team
  • Know when to reach out for support elevate issues to break barriers down
