Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Supplier Quality Engineer opening to join our Tulsa organization.
Day to Day
While working on supplier improvement projects, you will be interacting with your internal customers regarding real-time quality concerns. You will provide technical support to Quality Technicians and interact with Design Engineers while driving for immediate resolution. You will be a critical element in establishing a zero tolerance environment for defects from our supply base. Through your use of quality tools and innovative approaches, you will have the ownership and the satisfaction of delivering world class supplier quality to the manufacturing division. You will likely be assigned engineering project work to reduce our Total Cost of Quality by improving our supplier’s product design and process capability.
What You Will Do
Responsible for managing multiple commodity groups for continual performance improvement.
Responsible for addressing day to day quality issues to minimize impact to the production environment.
Problem solving using six sigma analytical tools to permanently correct chronic supply base component quality issues.
Work cross-functionally to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
Identify and drive warranty reduction activities associated with supplier components/parts.
Utilize quality skills, tools, and talent to continuously drive supplier performance improvements.
Provide guidance and support to the Quality Technicians on all matters related to supplier quality.
What You Need To Succeed
Supplier quality experience and supervisory experience preferred.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment a plus.
CQE or GQA status desired.
Experience in utilizing SAP preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
PC proficiency utilizing MS Office, Access, and PowerPoint knowledge required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Ability to communicate cross functionally internally/externally as well as to all levels of the organization.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing desired.
Black Belt certification preferred.
