  • To deliver end to end services based upon ITIL service management good practices
  • Accountable for delivering IS infrastructure or application services to our business at the highest possible cost efficiency, to agreed service levels
  • To deliver continuous improvement of IS Services to support business initiatives and to improve the quality of the IS services delivered
  • To manage solution scope (quality, time, cost) for IS services and manage SLAs accordingly. This includes both change and steady state
  • Stakeholder Management OR (for Supplier Managers)
  • To manage and develop healthy, value-adding relationships with IS suppliers while ensuring that contracts meet Syngenta's needs
  • To effectively communicate and coordinate with regional and/or global portfolio, budget and supplier management stakeholders and ensure that processes are being followed
  • To support IS Delivery Managers (please make sure the right job title is used) in their work with suppliers
  • Responsible for establishing, operating and improving a suite of application services for E2E process and managing the key stake holders
Accountable for managing complex local/regional/global projects and sub- projects to ensure successful delivery and handover to steady state operations
  • Accountable for delivering IS services to the business (either global services or site specific services)
  • Apply the Company operating model, including completion/approval of SA and SIA documents
  • Accountable for the integrity of the operational end-to-end service
  • Focus on E2E services and drive continues improvement using Syngenta Sustain Model
  • Identify and review the total cost of service
  • Regularly review suppliers and services
  • System and architecture design of the relevant service
  • Develop, maintain, improve and enforce IS standards
  • To manage a team/project-team OR (Product Mngr R&DIS)
  • Develop and maintain a strategy for the designated set of R&DIS products, working closely with system owner and scientists
  • Build domain level alliances with key stakeholders in R&D and IS Services (e.g. GISS, Strategic Supplier Management)
  • Foster a culture of consistent, differentiated service within the team to meet and exceed R&D expectations.
  • Continually challenge alignment of unit activities and services with R&D IS strategy and support delivery of the unit purpose
  • Manage the elements of the R&D IS operational budget relating to the Domain (license, infrastructure, support costs)
Critical knowledge
5 to 8 years of professional experience in IS delivery management Negotiation/influence experience with key stakeholders and suppliers Experience of managing service Total Cost of Ownership Experience of managing quality delivery and continuous improvement to services Experience of implementing ITIL process and/or managing external suppliers to ITIL standards OR (for Change Agents) Experience managing change into complex IT systems landscapes OR Product Manager R&DIS
  • 5 - 8 years experience in working within or close to R&D within Syngenta or other strongly R&D oriented company
  • At least 3 years experience in working on information systems and/or information management processes associated with a commercial organisation
  • Experience in working across countries and cultures in order to achieve solutions. A proven track-records of success in leading projects and transitioning to well-accepted, scalable global products
