Role Purpose
  • Drive and develop Business Development cycle, strategy and implementation in the geographic scope (CU), as a base of sustainable growth and differentiation, supporting development of new business models and ways of working to create sustainable competitive advantage in the medium and long term.
  • Identify and prioritize solution/new business model opportunities and support testing and implementation, in the geography/crop scope, working very close to the CU team, and understanding market needs and opportunities.
  • Ensure resource requirement planning and financial performance. Monitor BD implementation in the CU, its sales targets and monthly performance.
  • Ensure leverage and scalability of initiatives between assigned crops and countries.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment for initiatives implantation and success (R&D, P&S, Finance, Legal, others). Lead, encourage, and role-model collaborative ways of working between commercial and different functions.
  • Ensure key steps of stage-gate solution frame for each initiative.
Accountabilities
 
Territorial Business accountabilities
  • Organize and lead BD cycle each year in the geography/crops scope, ensuring the resources allocation and monitoring performance. Monthly monitoring and follow up.
  • Ensure the consistency and prioritization of key initiatives and business scope, looking for synergies between countries and crops.
  • Lead & manage projects through analysis, design and implementation phases including stakeholder management and communication, in the frame for ICS
  • Utilize analytical process and field experience for finding insights to drive strategy development, understanding market trends and working with CU team to transform them in business opportunities.
  • Ensure cross – functional alignment at different levels of the organization from the beginning of the stages to ensure a successful implementation.
  • Ensure all steps of frame to move forward with each solution.
 

Qualifications

 
Knowledge, Experience
 
Critical experience and knowledge
  • 2+ years’ experience in the CP or Seed industry or significant business experience in a related industry
  • Degree in Business, engineering, Science or Agriculture; MBA an asset
  • Advanced English (written and spoken)
