As part of its expansion in Asia Pacific, Syngenta is building a new formulation plant in Singapore.  The role of Planning and Logistics Manager offers a rare opportunity to be part of a pioneering team  bringing the company standards and ways of working to life in a new location.  The Planning and Logistics Manager will lead the planning, scheduling and logistics operations for the site.

You will be responsible for:
  • Leading the planning, scheduling and logistics operations for the site. 
  • Coordinating and consulting with the different Syngenta functions on planning, scheduling and logistics related topics; act as single key point of contact on managerial level.
  • Supporting the regional head of production in specific projects when required.
  • Ensuring balanced capacity and material supply plans for the products are available in the production site, with a strong focus on 0-3 months as well as 3-24 months.  This will require thorough coordination with the supply chain planning community.
  • Creating, supporting and supervising the overall Finished Product Production plan, providing options on formulation and packaging components to meet variances in demand and supply. 
  • Supporting the site ROP (Reorder Point) meetings together with the ROP chairman.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience in a supply chain, manufacturing, procurement or technical role
  • A Degree in a related technical subject
  • Advanced supply chain planning processes knowledge
  • Basic understanding of formulation, fill and pack technology and processes
  • Good grasp of third party relationship management and procurement policies
  • Planning parameters, master data management and data integrity (Electronic Data Ware Housing)
  • Good understanding of customs, import, and eExport transport regulations
