About This Job:
The Project & Planning Coordinator will ensure coordination among the corn and rice breeding functions to enable reliable and efficient planning and execution in delivering line and hybrid development program.
He/she will support the country team to coordinate between demand owners and supply owners and ensure effective delivery of annual and seasonal planned demand
He/she will support the country head to ensure alignment between planned vs actual spend
He/she will own transparency to the regional team on project and execution status within the country in charge.
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
Working with the Local Rice and Corn Seeds Product Development Team:
Co-develop annual and seasonal demand plan with each demand owner within each country and work with the supply team on timely and cost effectively delivery of planned demand within budget and capacity of the country
Establish a robust tracking and reporting mechanism to monitor project progress in a timely and effective manner
Metrics reporting on SPD projects to the relevant stakeholders
Support country head and ensure alignment between planned vs actual budget spend and delivery of breeding goals
Coordinate efficient seeds product delivery projects for corn and rice product development
Ensure coherence of data in appropriate reporting tools (for project planning, functional resource demand, budget reporting etc)
In coordination with the demand owners, populate project planning tool with feasible demand plans
Support the project portfolio management and reporting (i.e. research reviews and pipeline tracking reporting)
Promote project management culture and standards in the product development teams.
Manage risks in demand delivery due to unforeseen circumstances with the relevant stakeholders
Educational background in Agriculture.
Understanding of plant biology, basic plant breeding process & technologies
Understanding of agribusiness.
A strong knowledge of project management and database system.
Good communication and people skills.
Good organizational and time management skills.
