About This Job:

Executing key activities to ensure growth of Syngenta’s genetics market share: including, evaluating product trials, completing sales forecasts, contributing to preparation of campaigns and marketing materials; providing data for five-year planning, assisting in development of marketing and sales plans in order to maximize sales growth and profitability. KPIs’ including realized gross margin versus history and market share growth.



  • Providing technical, training and marketing support to Sales Representatives, Customer Service Representative and growers in order to increase the sales of Syngenta’s products in Japan.
  • Reporting to Sales and Marketing Manager, Flowers Japan: and functional reporting to Global Product Mgt team.

§  Coordinating, managing and evaluating product trials.

§  Developing sales forecasts for assigned products.

§  Managing product life cycle

§  Developing product introduction plans for assigned products.

§  Coordinating and arranging event planning and participates in such events as Pack Trials and trade shows.

§  Attending sales meetings to provide product training and developing sales tool.

§  Involving trouble shoot situations, quality and performance related issues.

  • Maximizing market share and profitability for Flowers in Japan.
  • Managing and developing product lines to capitalize on opportunities and market needs.
  • Identifying key issues, opportunities and challenges for the Japan Flowers business.
  • Developing and maintaining network of contacts with the key influencers in the market to as to develop optimal customer base and distribution structure.






Essential Knowledge & Experience:

§  Understanding of key value elements and drivers in the bedding plant / pot-plant business chain.

§  Understanding ornamentals production systems with seed, vegetative and young plant

§  Having knowledge of the Syngenta’s Flowers assortment AND of competitive products.

§  Basic marketing knowledge

§  Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).

§  Ability to communicate product issues in order to educate and motivate sales teams.




  • At least 3 year of experience in Horticultural industry or related field
  • Degree education, or equivalent
  • Fluent in English
  • Driving Licence
